“The Augusta of Motorsports”
Barber Motorsports museum is home to the largest motorcycle collection in the world. It’s even recognized by Guiness World Records. It stands inside Barber Motorsports Park, a beautiful 880 acre park. With its surburb landscape and sculptures scattered throughout the park it has been coined as the “Augusta of Motorsports”.
The museum also has the largest collection of Lotus racecars in the world, with more than 50. That’s not the only car brand represented from Porsche (which has its Porsche Driving Experience at the track) to Ferrari and Fords.
The track is 2.38 miles, 16 turns and 190 feet of elevation change. The main attraction for many is the Chidren’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix and the Barber Vintage Festival. There are also track day events from SCCA, NASA Mid South, Chin track days and JZilla, making this one of best road courses in the Southeast. For more info check out their website.
